キンポウゲ科トリカブト属の多年草で、学名は Aconitum loczyanum。英名はありません。
"Reijin-so" (Aconitum loczyanum) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from the Kanto region of Honshu west to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. This herb grows in bright forests and mountain meadows and can reach 40-80 cm in height. The basal leaves have long stalks and split into 5 to 7 palmetely. From August to October, pale magenta flowers come on the tips of the stems and axils. The Japanese name comes from the fact that the shape of the flower resembles the eboshi (headgear) worn by a gagaku player.
