 
 わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国に分布しています。山野に
生え、高さは５０〜８０センチになります。根生葉は奇数羽状複葉で
頂小葉は丸みがあり、茎葉は３裂します。６月から８月ごろ、黄色い
花を咲かせます。果実は球形の集合果です。和名は、根生葉が「だ
いこん（大根）」の葉に似ていることから。
バラ科ダイコンソウ属の多年草で、学名は Geum japonicum。
英名はありません。
'Daikon-so' (Geum japonicum) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is
a perennial herb that is native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and China.
This herb grows in mountains and fields and can reach 50-80 cm in height.
The basal leaves are odd-pinnately compound with rounded terminal
segments and the cauline leaves are trilobate. Yellow flowers bloom in June
to August. The fruits are round aggregate.
